With 15 years experience of teaching in schools, the outdoors, and playwork settings, and the patience that goes with it - I can tailor learning to the individuals in the group. I can provide the materials and some starting ideas, but am always happy for people to explore their own ideas, with support as needed.
To discuss running a workshop in the South West of England, please contact me with venue, date, rough numbers and what you wish to learn.

Learn the basics of the Oslo stitch in nalbinding - the endangered heritage craft.
Nalbinding was used by groups around the world to create cloth, before the invention of knitting and weaving. A single needle is used to knot the yarn into a fabric. The Oslo stitch dates back to Viking times and examples of socks and hats have been found using the stitch.
The advantage over knitting and crochet is that it doesn't unravel like other needlecrafts - making the technique perfect for work gloves, socks and hats.
